I went to my first Wing Chun class in 1998 in Germany and have since trained under various instructors in different countries (I've seen the good and the bad). After a longer break I joined Wing Chun International Oxford in 2015. It's a well-run school with students at all levels and a friendly atmosphere. Dace is a wonderful instructor who looks after each of her students. She trained me all the way to my first technician grade and there is more to come. The classes are well-balanced including fitness, forms, chi sao (sticking hands), drills, self-defence techniques and theory. Wing Chun is based on theories and concepts and their interpretation and application has changed over the years based on the latest research. Unlike some schools who are stuck in the past WCI Oxford teaches modern Wing Chun for realistic self-defence. It's a great school to start your Wing Chun journey.
